ExactKey emerged in 2007 as medical transcription peers and students in training began to request assistance more and more, mostly in the area of how to increase production. With the information provided in an easily comprehendable fashion, ExactKey services branched out from one-on-one mentoring services to the creation of educational material. Working closely with Exact-Med Transcription Training program throughout 2008, areas in which students were struggling were identified, and material was created to fill in the gaps and present the information in an easy to understand manner.
As the students at Exact-Med had a very positive educational reponse, grasping the material well and advancing in the areas being taught by ExactKey, several more classes were created with worksheets and audio presentations were created to allow the users to go through the classes at their own speed. This series of classes completed in late 2008 is now known as the ExactKey Virtual Workshop Series.
This series was created to be flexible to allow consumers to purchase the classes individually as they need them or as a whole and test themselves with fun worksheets, as well as tailored specially for transcription educators to pick and choose the sessions they feel their students would benefit from, which are then created in a customized workbook with accompanying audio CD with quizzes and a final examination to use for grading material. New material is created on an ongoing basis as new learning areas are discovered or requested with the goal of making the transition from education to career easier producing quality work quickly and efficiently.
